So, I've recently divided my old Chosens idea into two parts.  One involves the aeons, and it's hard to work out, but I'm sorting it until it makes sense anyway.  The other one takes the Chosen idea and makes the aeons into simply gods, which is so much easier to understand but still needs work anyway.

I'm pretty much ashamed of these ideas still, as I'm afraid people will look at them and think what the hell?  But I'm getting better about it.  So here's some more work on it.  I told myself I'd stop working on it the day I came up with it, but it's so entertaining that I can't stop.  xD;

Here are some random (mostly sleep-deprived) notes I had on my computer on the subject, so hopefully I'll be able to sort out my ideas soon.

Er.  And apparently I can't find my other notes.  Oh well, I'll edit them as I find them.  >__>

Mm, more information on the Chosen idea.   I think the best way to describe the idea is an intense A/U.

I owe Magie a Derek post, and SD Hani/Seni posts, but oh well.  This is so much more interesting at the moment.  >__>

An idea that came to me in a dream (yes, really in a dream).

The Aeons dying out, becoming formless, powerless.  And they can only appear- in a way- under certain circumstances.  They are assigned to someone, and when the person does something specific, then the Aeon's power is granted to them for a small amount of time.  They live through the other person for a small amount of time, melding with them.

See, it makes sense in my head, just not on paper.

But it's a really fascinating idea.

People stopped believing in the great powers of old.  They thought the powers mere fairytales, and without the power of belief, the powers died.

But gods never truly die, so a part of them remained.  A spirit.  An essence.  Call it what you will, the point remains that part of them still existed.

And once in a while, these remainders of the gods would resonate within someone.  They'd find a mortal whose soul matched theirs.  Desperate to affect the world again, they would combine with this person, following them around everywhere, silently, unseen.

When the mortal did something that truly resonated, deeply, within the remainder of the god following them, the god would meld with them, giving them great powers beyond imagination.

These mortals became known as the Chosen, in the olden days.  They were known as heroes or villains, depending on how they used their great powers.  People respected them, worshiped them like the gods they melded with.

But as time passed, people began to change.  No longer could the gods find anyone with a soul like theirs.  And so no one became chosen.  And many, many years passed without the gods ever touching the world through anyone.

But now, in the present day, the gods have found new Chosens.  And those Chosens will be the first Chosens in hundreds of years.

They will change the world.

For better or for worse, they will change everything.

Or something like that.  I should work on refining the idea so that I can explain it better.
